Disneyland and other Happenings

Hey peeps! Disneyland with Karl's family was a blast!!! I have to admit, I wasn't prepared for the go-go-go-ness the Beckert's are expert at with their Disneyland vacations, but if you want to do as many rides as possible at Disneyland and have a blast doing it, the Beckerts are your people! Here are our vacation in pics (or rather mostly day one and two since Tara was very bad at taking pictures after awhile and let Tori take most of the pics with Mom Beckert's camera:):

Waiting for the bus to take us to Disneyland!

Cute shoe picture!

Dad Beckert and Emily:)

Karl and Emily

Ready to defeat Emperor Zerg on Buzzlightyear's ride! (the name of which I can't recall)

Emily does a great impression of the Grizzly Rapids wolf rock statues thing

My love and I ready to go head to head in the Toy Story Mania 3-D games!

Tori and Emily excited for World of Color!

Brent and Mom Beckert excited for World of Color!

Karl and Tara excited for World of Color!

World of Color!!!

The Beckert clan (minus myself as I give my tummy a break) ready to scream on California Screamin'!
And to end, this is my duckling friend named Harry who I made friends with while I waited for the rest of the fam to finish the roller coaster ride.

So there ya have it. Our trip was pretty fantastic and just what we all needed. Here are some of my favorite memories so I don't forget.

-Dad B pretty much losing his voice yelling the countdown to open the park in the morning and then running through the gate like an excited little kid:)

-Riding Splash Mountain two times in a row without having to get off the ride because there was absolutely no one else in line (early entry rocks)

-Tori holding her own when people kept trying to push passed her for a better spot to watch World of Color. Nobody was pushing her around! Tori rocks.

-Going to Newport beach and relaxing by the ocean for most of the day. I want to live by an ocean someday. (At least for a small while)

-Dad B asking if anybody needed to take a 'moment' a.k.a potty break because according to emily's friend's mom (confusing I know) it is inappropriate to tell people you have to pee.

-Riding Star Tours at least six times

-Spending time with my incredible in-laws and coming to love them even more.

Now for the other happenings.

Garen is now in the MTC learning Icelandic and preparing to go to Iceland in August. He is doing so well and seems to love it there. You go Oldungur G! (Elder G:)

I had more happenings to post, but I think I'll save those for later. Right now I have a talk I'm supposed to preparing on Testimonies for tomorrow. That's what you get when you are new in the ward and your husband happens to be the one assigning talks for that Sunday. Wish me luck!

Summer:)

YAY!!!!! It's finally here and I am loving it!

Even though I pretty much work everyday and have yet to go on a crazy fun adventure, it's been so nice to not have to sit through classes and have some down time to do things with family and especially with my love:)

There are a lot of crazy changes coming up for our family, mostly with the Anderson clan. This summer will be all about changes and family time. Here are a few updates:

-Talon, Nicole, and little Addie are moving to Kirksville, Missouri in just about a month. I'm sad they'll be so far away, but what an exciting adventure for them! Karl and I are excited to come visit. Karl is especially excited to hopefully get to go to a cubs game:)

-Garen leaves on his mission a week from today! He gave such a great farewell talk. (I think he had all of the girls in our family in tears and probably his father to:)). He is so spiritually and mentally prepared to teach the people of Iceland and I am so excited for him. You go Elder!

-Karl and I get to go to Disneyland with the Beckert clan!!! I am super pumped since I haven't been to Disneyland since I was a wee elementary schooler so this should be a blast! Special thanks to Ms. Emily Beckert for graduating high school and choosing Disneyland as her graduation present.

So that's pretty much all going on in the exciting lives of Tara and Karl. I stink at taking pictures, but here are a few fun pics to show what we've been up to the past while.

Uncle Karl got to hold Adalyn for the first time on Sunday.
She looked right at him the whole time! Nicole thinks she has a crush on her uncle:)

All the Beckerts were celebrating Mom Beckert's birthday, which also happened to be Emily's prom night. So, while Dad Beckert was taking pictures he yelled, "Everybody in!" Hence the family picture with Emily and her date. Emily was so thrilled!

That's about it for the update. Happy summer! I'll be back with pictures from our exciting next couple of weeks!
