Exciting News Update

My Brother is going to be serving his mission in the Denmark Copenhagen mission!!!

He will be speaking Icelandic! Crazy huh! And he reports to the MTC on June 8. Wow!

Last night was such a neat experience getting to be there with my brother, who has had a pretty

rough go of it this semester, and with the rest of my family as we opened his call and we all felt

the spirit testify that Denmark is where Garen needs to go.

I am so proud of my brother for deciding to go on a mission for all the right reasons.

His strong testimony and spirit will help spread the gospel to the hearts of many people.

Thanks for being such a great example to me G!

I am so excited for you and I love you very much!

Working

I love love love my job!

I am chilling at the South Desk in the Library with really not too much to do

but blog stalk and

people watch. It sounds kind of creepy, but I love watching people.

People are fascinating and sometimes, strange.

Anyways.....

Life is pretty sweet thus far. I am taking a sign language 2 class that I think might kill me.

I love sign language so much, but it feels like sign 2 took a gigantic leap from sign 1 and

I am struggling to keep up!

I'll just try to look at it as an opportunity for growth.

In other news, I read this blog today and she has the cutest tutorial for button earrings!

I am way stoked to try it as soon as I find someone who has a hot glue gun they'd be willing

to let me borrow:)

I love trying new things like this. It makes me feel like I'm kind of crafty.

The people who come up with this stuff are ingenious!

In other other news, I recently finished the hunger games and let me tell you it was like reading

1984 all over again! (I disliked that book so so so much! And the Hunger Games had about the

same effect on my mood).

Does anybody else really like those books and have a desire to talk me out of my dislike of them?

I am a sucker for a happy ending, and although this series had a...satisfying(?) ending, I was

mad for most of the book!

I'll keep enjoying my fairy tales where good always triumphs over evil!

Anyways, the weekends almost here and I am pumped!

Happy weekend to you all!

P.S. Kenzie, this post was for you. I promise to try to be a good blogger so when you look at my blog, you have something new to read. (Even if it's nonsense like this post)

Adam's Elementary

I get to help one of Adams Elementary's 1st grade classes practice their reading once a week which is awesome! The kids are so much fun to read with and the stories they tell me to try and get out of having to read are adorable and hilarious:) On Friday, the following conversation made me laugh all day!

Girl: (looking at my wedding ring and the other ring I was wearing on my thumb) Are you married?

Me: Yes I am.

Girl: Are you married two times?

Me: (trying very hard not to laugh) No, the other ring is just for fun.

Girl: Oh.

Apparently she thought I was bringing polygamy back. It was hilarious!

School is back and we are full swing in it! Karl and I are both loving our schedules this semester. I am loving that I get to see him a whole lot more! And my classes are really fun. One of my classes is called Cereal Science where yes, we learn about the production of our fine cereal products. The professor is this way granola agriculture guru who is hilarious and makes learning about cereal very exciting.

Good luck to all you fine students out there who are battling another semester!
