Spring has sprung! ....Sort of

Hey there! How ya goin? S0, it's sunny outside for the first time in a very very very long time! I know it's going to rain again and probably will continue to rain for awhile, but right now, it's lovely. I decided on this lovely day that I would ramble yet again, since that's all I ever do on this blog, but maybe someday I'll want to read my random ramblings from days gone by and it will all be worth it. Hopefully it's entertaining along the way. Anyways, here are some random thoughts I've been having.

1. I have lost my ability to be extremely patient. Ya, I'm still a fairly patient individual, but when you start yelling at appliances or technology on a daily basis because of course the computer is what made it take an hour and a half for me to register for my classes last night and the smoke alarm goes off every time I cook just to give me a complex (The last one I think is actually true. My smoke alarm mocks me.) , or I have finally reached my breaking point with school and everything else and decided to take it out on these things. Anyways, I'm kind of losing it guys! But no worries, in two and one half weeks I will be enjoying summer! And trying to find another job.

2. I got to hold my little niece for the first time every and guess what.......I even moved her to different positions! That might sound really funny to say it that way, but if you remember me talking about how afraid I am to hold a baby, this was a big deal. I usually am frozen stiff on the couch, but this time, I wasn't! She is the most beautiful precious miracle. I loved every minute I got to hold her. And even when she got fussy and started to cry, she was still fun to hold and be around. She has a lot of spunk for sure! And I love that I get to be an aunt:)

3. Did I mention only two and a half weeks until this semester is over! Now, I just have to find time to finish all of my projects and such. I can't wait to be done! For awhile...

4. Have you ever gotten to the point where you are constantly comparing yourself to the people around you? I have talked about this a lot, especially with this girls in my program, but it got to the point the other day that I totally broke down. Little things left festering inside you tend to become big things that explode. But I am proud to say that lately I have been focusing on doing things my own way and recognizing that I am an individual with different challenges, strengths, and dreams and everything will all work out as long as I remember to put my trust in a loving Heavenly Father who knows my hopes and dreams, but more importantly what I need most.

5. Merging two lives together is an interesting thing sometimes. Karl and I talk a lot about the future and how we want to get there and it's funny how 'my plan for my life' has become 'our plan' and a lot of things have changed. Although it's hard sometimes to figure out how to get to where we want to be sometimes, I love him more and more every time we have to get over another hurdle. I love my husband, and am so grateful everyday that he keeps me 'comfortably uncomfortable' to help us both grow.

I hope you all enjoy the lovely spring day and those of you who are done with the semester, congrats! I can't wait to join you.

The Rains Came Down, But Its Still Cold So Hopefully the Floods Don't Come Up!

Hello People!

So, not too many exciting things have been happening in the extremely exciting world of Tara, but I like to blog so I am going to think of things to blog about right here, right now! (and if I haven't lost you already I'm pretty impressed with your will power).

Anyways, here are a few things that have been exciting as of late.

Baby Addie has come home and I am now an Aunt officially! Ya, I was an aunt already three weeks ago when she came. I realize that. But It didn't feel very real until I got to see her and meet her in person. She is so beautiful! She has Nicole's cute little nose and these beautiful big blue eyes! She is so strong to! She is always lifting her head and looking around. I am fascinated with this tiny little person that has truly been a miracle on so many levels! I can't wait until I get to hold her:) Sure, I'll probably stay in one spot on the couch without moving a muscle until my turn is over, but I'll enjoy every second of it!

I learned something new about my husband today. He is terrified of a mountain lion attack. He says in Arizona, they don't see a ton of wild life like we do here. He was so freaked out the first time he saw a deer in his neighborhood! Anyways, we've been talking about plans/dreams for the future and staying here was one of the things we talked about, but Karl said he doesn't know if he can handle the fact that we have mountain lions here. Grant it, I would freak if I ever saw one, but I have never seen one after 20 years of living in Utah! Even that didn't convince him. Poor guy.

We are almost to The Final Count Down!!! (Sing that to the song The Final Countdown for dramatic effect). Only three weeks left for the semester! If you countt finals week, which I do NOT, because I only have one final I actually have to come to campus for and I think that is a sa-weet dealio.

I'm looking for a second job this summer in Logan. Possibly working with the little people (I mean kids in case you are wondering). If any of you hear of anything (since I know there are so many of you that actually read this thing, but I like to pretend), let me know.

I just realized how many times of put things in parenthesis this post. I apologize for my parenthesis happiness.

I never put pictures on this blog. I don't know why. Oh wait, I do. I never pull out my camera and use it. I'll get on that people so you can see the oh so exciting day to day changes (or every once in awhile changes) of Karl and Tara Beckert!!!

Have a lovely April day!

I'll come back when I have actual exciting things to post about. Or if I get bored again. The later is most likely what 'll happen so ya.

Bye!
